Austin Austin is the gateway to the Toiyabe Range, Arc Dome Wilderness, Table Mountain and other incomparable "Islands in the Sky" that are the beauty of the Basin and Range landscape. Hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, and discovering the lost cities of Nevada's mining booms are all part of Austin's adventure.

Kingston Kingston is another gateway to the Toiyabe Range in the Toiyabe National Forest. Kingston Canyon and surrounding canyons include camping in a Forest Service campground or in dispersed sites, premier hunting, hiking, and horseback riding along the Crest trail. The trail is over 60 miles in length and reaches elevations in excess of 8,000 feet above sea level.
Kingston Campground does not require reservations; restroom facilities and water are available. The campground is open late spring to early fall, dependent upon the weather.
In addition to the excellent hiking trails, lake and stream fishing abound. Armed with a Nevada fishing license, you could experience what is said to be some of the best fishing in the State. Kingston Creek and nearby Groves Lake will tempt you with an array of Brown, Brook and Rainbow Trout.
